“This sucker’s quick,” the President of the United States apparently told reporters today after a quick spin in a prototype of the Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck.

My dude John Osborn (a good Twitter follow) joked that somebody who’s hungry for clicks might be shameless enough to publish that as a First Drive Impression and, hi, it me. Thank you for your click!

The F-150 Lightning, Ford’s first all-electric pickup truck, is set to be revealed to the public in an official capacity tomorrow (May 19, 2021 at 9:30 p.m. ET on YouTube to be exact) but I’m sure Ford is reveling in the hype-boost garnered from President Biden’s address from the Ford Facility and media scramble to turn out blogs like this one today.

Anyway, jokes aside, it is pretty cool to have the President share a car take even if it’s vague and innocuous. And I guess it looks like CNN’s Chief White House Correspondent Kaitlan Collins (we’re not related) effectively had the first scoop on what the F-150 Lightning is like to drive! Thank you, Ms. Collins:

White House Reporter for Bloomberg Mario Parker shared some video of the president’s heroic parking lot lap:

Update 05/18/21: CSPAN posted a better video, check it:

I guess we’ll find out more about this truck tomorrow!
