I took this photo a few years back during my first summer in SoCal. MazFest 2017 was going down at the other side of the Auto Club Speedway paddock, and on this side was a normal SoCal trackday run by Extreme Speed.

Two CRXs, one of which with the rear bumper removed to reduce drag, 200-treadwear tires, a set of Rays Gram Lights 57DRs, and a bright-yellow Integra with a JDM front-end conversion. They look like they’ve been heavily beat on, but actually it’s quite the opposite. All of these cars are living their best life at the track.
Honda engines love to rev, and gladly do so for hundreds of thousands of miles. As long as you keep a reasonable amount of oil in them.
They’re all track weapons, too. Whether you keep each of their respective stock powerplants or swap to something with a bit more power, they’ll run circles around much faster hardware that’s not driven as well. Across the country these are some of the highest-sitting track kings. Great suspension, low weight, bomb-proof reliability, and some of the biggest aftermarkets ever.
I’ve always been jealous of Honda owners for how big of an aftermarket is readily available to them. Plus, the whole engine swap thing. I should stop my groveling a pop in to ol’ Craig’s List for a quick perusing.
