Radwood, a celebration of cars and trucks (both elite and not) from our millennial childhoods, is kicking off its 2021 event tour this Saturday (July 10, 2021) in San Mateo, just south of San Francisco. Some 500 vehicles from the ’80s and ’90s will be exhibited and frankly, I think it stands a good chance of being the coolest car show of the year. We hope to see a lot of you there in person, but for those who can’t make it to the Bay, we’ve got you covered. Here’s how to hang from the comfort of your computer.
Car Autance’ Real-Time Radwood Coverage
We’ll be blitzing three social media channels all day Saturday. Peter Nelson will be manning the Car Autance Twitter, Chris Rosales is going to be on our Instagram, and Kevin Williams will be mixing it up on TikTok live from the show for your entertainment. Oh yeah, we made a TikTok, I still don’t know how to use it but that’s why I’ve got one of my compatriots in charge.
We’re actually going to start posting today (Friday) as we convoy up California, so you can look forward to some cruising pics while you get hyped for the real show on Saturday. Or, if you’re seeing this post on Saturday, well, you can always scroll back into the feeds. The show itself runs from 11 a.m. PT to 4 p.m. PT, so you can expect the bulk of our coverage to come in that window. Anyway, here are those accounts if you’re now following already.

Victoria Scott is stowing away with us too, because the van she’s been living in and planned to drive to the show is, uh, indisposed for a bit.
Or Come Visit The Car Autance Radwood Camp
For those of you who are planning to rock up to the San Mateo County Event Center (1346 Saratoga Drive San Mateo, CA 94403 is the show address) please come look for us! We’ll have two big “CAR BIBLES” banners flying high off an aluminum flag frame I built and parked up with my Montero and Peter Nelson’s Land Rover Discovery. I swear we’re not just a truck site, but I guess “’90s overland” is the unintentional theme of our setup.
Anyway, we’ve got loads of free stickers to give out and a prototype print-version of an actual Car Autance to show off. Plus, you can tell us all about how awesome your car is and if it’s parked at the show we’ll (probably) be happy to check it out.
We’re also going to brainstorm a prize to award vehicles we really like… but I’m not making any promises on specifics yet.
Mostly I’m just looking forward to meeting fellow car nerds. So if you see anybody with a Car Autance nametag (oh yeah, we’ll be rocking name tags!) don’t hesitate to say hi. And if you’re keeping up with the show from home, @ us and let us know if there’s something specific you want to see — we’ll do our best to bring it to your screen.
