White, black, and yellow(!?) are the only colors you can get without paying extra on the current Mercedes-AMG CLA 35 4Matic.

This yellow, in particular, is called Sun Yellow, and I think it’s one of the best yellow colors sprayed onto a car in the past decade. It photographs really nicely, isn’t too obnoxious, and when matched with optional exterior accents and the right wheels, it looks quite good. Like the one pictured above.
Normally, any kind of fun color costs extra. This color is free, but a more conservative splash of red, dubbed Patagonia Red Metallic, costs an extra $720. So does every shade of metallic silver they offer, which is a total of four. Four! It’s almost as if they’re trying to force Mercedes owners to be more fun, and I’m here for it.
Also: the car in general is a lot of fun for an all-wheel drive, turbo four-cylinder AMG. Its fast, it sounds great, handles quite well, shifts really quick, and weirdly, has the quickest-to-configure launch control ever. Though, it does cost $61,335 as configured in the photo. That’s a lot of money, and I doubt anyone would ever track one instead of say a base BMW M2, but man it’d be cool if someone did.
Here’s another shot, man I love Mercedes’ interiors.
