The Acura TLX is a mean-looking machine. Though, I think it helped that I captured this shot during a gorgeous sunset in the San Gabriel Mountains.

But still, it definitely stands out against its competition by BMW, Mercedes, Honda, and Lexus. Especially examples that are sprayed in this beautiful Apex Blue Pearl paint.
I especially dig this mild rear-quarter view; it accentuates its athletic styling and makes it look like it had just pulled over after a rousing couple of corners of fun mountain driving. Which it actually did in real life.
It could be said that Acura went through a somewhat strange aesthetic period after the much-loved RSX and third-gen TL were sunsetted. The prominent-beak designs of the 2010s the company was so committed to back then were not exactly universally appreciated. This new design direction, though, feels a lot sharper and more distinctive. I’m into it.
