The Ford Bronco is engineered for fun, with all the personality to boot.

My friends, the hype is real: The two-door new Bronco is an endless amount of epic off-road fun, especially when equipped with the proper trim like this Black Diamond model. This designation gives the Bronco more capable General Grabber A/TX tires, rock sliders, more off-road-ready suspension, various bits of underbody protection, and more.

Thanks to its styling, sprightly engine, and modernized old-school driving experience, the Bronco creates a sense of occasion during any quick rip. The lil’ two-door might have independent suspension up front, but just 100 inches behind the front axle is an honest-to-goodness straight axle.

But when it comes to terrain that the Bronco’s been extensively engineered for, this thing is a riot. When paired with its torquey powerplant, its lightweight body (for the class) and short wheelbase make it an absolute beast while ripping up sand and deep gravel trails. Then, if one is inclined to turn traction control all the way off and send power to just the rear wheels, it’s very easy to dance around with some light counter-steering and quick jabs of the throttle. It’ll make any enthusiast feel like a WRC or Baja 1000 superstar at under 25 miles an hour.

I’ve got a lot more blabbering to do about the new Bronco, so stay tuned for a future comprehensive review with an accompanying video on our YouTube channel.
