The Honda Civic Type R Can Be a Comfy Cruiser When You Want It To Be | Autance

It’s as nice to cruise around as it is to rip through a twisty mountain road.

As far as a car that’s endlessly pleasant to cruise around in, not a whole lot beats the 2020 Honda Civic Type R. Which you wouldn’t really expect as this thing’s engineered for action.

What I mean by this, is thanks to it’s shape, comfortable front bucket seats, adaptive-dampered comfortable/sporty ride, and generally nice interior, I could cruise around in one all day.

What’s more, it’s one of the best cars to cruise around with the windows down in. It’s the complete opposite of the Toyota GR Supra 3.0 -instead of having brutal wind buffeting, wind rushes right past and barely annoys the passengers. This could be due to a myriad of things, from its shape to its body kit bits slapped onto it. Whatever it is, not too many cars top the Type R’s ability to be a fun, windows-down, highway and canyon road beast.

I have a fond memory of cruising along the 5 freeway in Southern California, that includes a beautiful purple and pink sunset in front of me, some good tunes on the radio, all the windows down, and all the power I’d ever need.
