The things I’ve done to get the shot…

I took this shot early last Winter, in the very early morning somewhere north of 6,000 feet up in Angeles National Forest.
As per usual, I hadn’t learned my lesson with being under prepared with my clothing, and decided to head up there to get shots in the beautiful, early morning light with just a thin flannel as extra warmth. It was so cold outside; with the wind chill it had to be no more than 30 degrees Fahrenheit, plus some blustery winds. I grew up in Chicago, but my blood quickly thinned out once I moved to SoCal back in 2016.
Luckily, the LC’s heat was quite good. I was able to blast it while shooting a few photos, then quickly duck inside out of the wind and warm up a tad -with the top down and everything.
All of the photos I took turned out great and were so easy to edit. Plus, it made for a fun story. Despite being brutally reminded what cold weather was, it was a great morning.
