RUF is one of the oldest high-end tuner shops, renown for turning already-excellent Porsches into unique pieces of art that are also exceptionally fast. Take a look at this bad ass batch of such cars.
Here we’ve got a shot of a special exhition at the Petersen Museum called “Pfaffenhausen Speed Shop – The RUF Gallery,” which features Porsches dialed up by, you guessed it, the famous RUF.

Here’s a little rundown issued by the museum’s comms department:
“In 1939, Alois Ruf Sr. founded AUTO RUF, a general service garage located in the Bavarian town of Pfaffenhausen, Germany. When his son, Alois Ruf Jr. assumed directorship of the company in 1974, it released the first RUF-enhanced Porsche. Since then, RUF has twice held the title of “World’s Fastest Production Car” with the BTR and CTR, its cars have been driven by millions in video games like Gran Turismo and it drifted into the hearts of enthusiasts with its famous video ‘Faszination on the Nürburgring.'”

This Porsche exhibit series, being hosted with the help of Luftgekühlt and Hagerty, is open at the Petersen right now. On August 15, it will change over to “explore the legacy of the Porsche 956 and 962 models.”
