My trip to Colorado wasn’t long ago, but I already miss Denver. Initially, I found myself in the city to buy a broken Korean crossover with a manual transmission and all-wheel drive, but that didn’t go as planned. Instead, I spent more than a week admiring the mountains, the chill vibes, and the unique car culture.

[Ed. Note: This post previously inaccurately labeled this car as a Bonneville, when it is in fact a Catalina. Changes have been made to correct our mistake.]

Denver has a super-high annual snowfall, but I didn’t see many rusty cars during my visit. The climate is very dry, so it seems it’s possible that some cars there will hold up longer than a lot of other places in the United States. While staying in a hotel in the ‘burbs, this pristine unrestored Pontiac Catalina caught my eye.

These Catalinas were sold in the midst of the first U.S fuel crisis, so unfortunately this thing probably had a max of 200 horsepower under the hood. Still, I can still admire the clean lines and big body styling; I don’t think I’ve ever seen one of these in such a good condition in my life. God bless Denver, y’all.
