The new supercar market is absolutely immense… and confusing. It’s not something we often discuss here at ‘Car Autance,’ as I’m sure you’ve noticed we tend to prefer covering significantly less expensive fun cars. But still, carbon-shelled stuff is fascinating and exciting; who better to explain their neat technical specifications than ‘Smith and Sniff?’

I’ve written about these two before. ‘Smith and Sniff’ is Jonny Smith of ‘Fifth Gear’ and ‘The Late Brake Show’ (and more!) prominence, and Richard Porter of ‘Sniff Petrol’ and old ‘Top Gear’ (and more!) prominence. They’re really entertaining, hilarious, and have phenomenal on-screen chemistry. They make an awesome duo.

I’m ashamed to admit that I haven’t listened to their podcast in a while. So I was out of the loop when, to my surprise, they showed up on the Goodwood Festival of Speed’s YouTube channel doing some fun, entertaining, and educational content.

This video, as well as this auction guide below, are a sort of guide to the wide variety of fascinating cars on display at the festival. This one, as I touched upon several paragraphs ago, is them walking around discussing current and upcoming supercars by Ferrari, Aston Martin, McLaren, Maserati, Pagani, and more.

There’s a lot to go through — the first video alone is a whole twenty minutes long. But they cover a lot of fascinating hardware and even include good ol’ Chevrolet and its modest Corvette C8. Every car they discuss gets a good primer, which is useful for either reciting fun facts to your fellow nerdlinger friends or using as a touch-off point for deeper research.

There’s also plenty of good quips and jokes, such as the Aston Martin V12 Speedster not being present, which leads to Porter instantly throwing out a solid James Bond reference. There’s plenty more humor and hilarious interactions, and even more interesting facts and figures.

Check it out!
